A "Small" Problem

Another day, it seems like a regular routine now to visit Colette for Mark. She always seems to have something up her sleeves to keep him entertained for the whole day. But today, it seems to have gotten a bit too far.
Mark walked up to Colette's two story house. It is rather strange that a house of such quality is in a forest, but the clearing is big but still hides the house from the village. Mark knocked on the door, but he didn't get a reply. He knocked harder, but then he heard a child's voice. He wondered if she had company over.
"Colette?" said Mark, hoping to get an answer. The door finally opened but to only find out that no one was there. He fully opened the door and saw something run up the stairs in the corner of his eye.
He went up stairs to the second floor, where two rooms laid there. The study and the bedroom. However Mark didn't know which and begged to god that the one he was opening was the study. He carefully opened the door to see a desk and piles of books, including Colette's grimore. Mark looked closer and noticed someone was sitting in the chair.
"Colette? Is that you?" "Yeah… You just kinda caught me at a bad time…"
Colette's voice sounded softer and higher pitched. Mark walked over and his eyes widened at what was staring back at him.
A little girl around 8, with green hair and purple eyes and baggy clothes was looking at him. Colette somehow managed to turn herself into a little girl. Mark took a step back; he wanted to say something but didn't want to offend her.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm a child… An experiment went wrong and I dropped a potion. It's only temporary, but it could last a couple days up to a week," explained the little Colette.
Mark just stood there, but then he noticed Colette kept struggling to reach and hold objects. She fell over while trying to carry her large grimore. Mark knew this isn't working, she needed to be taken care of.
Mark crossed his arms and went and picked up the small child.
"HEY, HEY, HEY!!! What do you think you're doing?!" screeched Colette as she struggled out of his grip. Mark then started to carry her down stairs.
"I'm taking you home with me… You're too young to take care of yourself now…" said Mark as he started to walk out the door, but Colette snatched the frame.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! Please don't take me to the village! I don't belong there!" she cried, her whining voices almost made Mark lose his straight face.
Mark managed to detach Colette from her house. But she continued to struggle till she grew tired and fell asleep. Mark carried her through the forest into the village. But when he reached there, people started giving off strange faces.
Mark wonders if they know that Colette is a youkai, or they know who Colette is!
Mark then kicked his front door, since his hands were too busy holding Colette to knock. His mother opened the door, but then noticed the green-haired child sleeping in Mark's arms.
"Who is that?" said Mark's mother; she looked carefully at the child whose clothes were too big for her. At least they weren't too big for her once.
"Her name is Colette, she's a friend of mine and I need to babysit her for a while," said Mark, but as he did Colette woke up, revealing her violet youkai eyes. Mark's mother stepped back and grew scared. Humanoid youkai are powerful.
"Mark~ where are we?"
"We're at my house,"
"…….Wait, what?!"
