Life at the Holibeck Mansion

Vaccination Day

Today Marta was told that it was time for Odette to have her shot, but since Odette is a half-demon, Marta has to inject it herself.
Marta hated shots, and had no doubt in her mind that Odette hated them too. She sighed and walked into the halls as the Holibecks go out.
As guessed, Odette wasn't at her room and Marta got ready for a semi-fight.
Marta looked all over for Odette but couldn't find her. She even made her Lemon Cakes to at least lure out a shadow of some sort, but nothing…
Then Marta noticed something shifting in the shadows. "Odette, come on, it doesn't hurt that bad!" Marta's words didn't reach Odette who was still hiding in the shadows.
Marta than chased the shifting shadow, it then took on Odette's shadow and started running in the walls. Marta groans, this was going to be harder than she thought. But then she got an idea.
"Oh come on, are you that big of a crybaby?" taunted Marta,
Odette's shadow halted to a stop…
"A being, who can manipulate shadows, that afraid of a wittle needle~?" said Marta in a childish manner,
Odette jumped out of the shadows with many shadow tentacles around her trying to pounce on Marta. But Marta snatched her and held onto her till they went to her room. Odette groaned distastefully…
"St-Stop moving! This is my first time!" said Marta as she tried to inject the shot into Odette,
Odette squirmed and wriggled, but her body itself was frail and weak and couldn't escape Marta's grip.
"Odette!" yelled Marta, Odette stopped moving and gave a puppy-dog face,
"What would it take to make you take your shot?!" asked Marta sharply,
Odette whimpered something but it was too vague,
"What?" said Marta,
"I want…..er" mumbled Odette,
"What?!" repeated Marta,
"I want my mommy!!!" screamed Odette,
Marta forgot, even though she was a half-demon, her mind and heart was that of a human. Marta didn't even flinch a smile at Odette's answer, she got up and called Mrs. Holibeck.
But then when she got back, Odette was gone…

"SUCKER!!" was the word that echoed the halls of the mansion
